L’Organisme Du Fjord au Lac sets up actions aimed at reducing the burden of cancer and supporting people closely affected by the disease. We want to create appreciation for patients and their caregivers, by acting close to them. You or your loved ones can benefit from actions such as;
Happiness is homemade
Throughout the year, a group of knitters prepare beautiful woolen items that we donate to people with cancer in the oncology wings of hospitals in our area. Thanks to these mittens, hats, stockings and various other woolen articles, we warm the bodies and the hearts of these people. By mobilizing seniors in the region with the aim of breaking their isolation, we are taking a first step towards building a caring community.
Holiday gifts
This is a set of small gifts that we give to people with cancer in the oncology wings in the region at various religious and commercial holidays throughout the year. This helps maintain a closeness with the community, add a little joy to their day and to remind them that they are not forgotten.
